"There are many private Christian schools in the metropolitan Atlanta area. When researching schools for our children, we found, however, that one Christian school may be very different from another. Mostly it depends upon the mission of the school. One type, an Evangelistic school, is dedicated to introduce and expose the gospel to children and their parents, who may or may not be Christians. The other, a covenant school, is dedicated to equip their students with a worldview based on Scripture through an agreement (or covenant) with their parents to provide a Christ-centered education. As parents, it didn’t take us long to determine that a covenant school was our school of choice, and thankfully God led us to Providence Christian Academy.
We have always had great ease in releasing our children to Providence each morning because we know that they will be in the presence of Godly men and women throughout the day. Our son, who graduated a few years ago and our daughter who still attends Providence, have greatly benefited from the exceptional staff, which cares for our children spiritually and personally, not only educationally. The high standards and expectations of the PCA students result in them rising to those expectations. Educationally, our children have benefited from excellent course offerings. In the athletic arena, Providence athletes are not only encouraging to their teammates but are encouraging to opposing team athletes as well. Their appearance shows they are advanced beyond their years in the attitudes and principles they possess. Times of studying God’s Word are set aside yearly to maintain proper perspective and to help keep God first in their lives. Biblical principals are taught to the students on a daily basis which are instilled in their hearts for the rest of their lives. We truly cannot imagine our children attending any other school. Coupled with our Christian faith, Providence has had such an impact on their Christian growth.
The partnership that we have with Providence has prepared our children to go into the world and do as Christ commands to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) The Biblical knowledge that they have gained while attending Providence has greatly equipped them in becoming mature followers of Christ. We know that God will be with them always and that their time at Providence will always be a special part of their lives. My son still returns to Providence to meet with the Godly men who mentored him throughout high school and continue to do so as he attends college. They hold a special place in his heart. God is definitely present in the halls of Providence, and we are gratefully blessed that we have been part of the Providence family for so many years."
