Welcome to the High School at Providence Christian Academy. As the principal, it
is my desire that we cultivate a community of students, teachers, and parents in
which the spiritual growth and academic learning of students is the primary focus.
We are a covenant school built on the mission “to provide excellence in Christ-centered
education as an extension of the Christian home”; therefore, the high school seeks
to maintain relationships with parents and students that foster open communication,
trust, and respect. We believe it is essential to have the support of the home in
the development of the whole child.
Beginning in the eighth grade, high school students at Providence receive a quality
college preparatory education that values the God-given gifts of each student. Our
Honors and Advanced Placement programs provide an appropriate challenge for the
academically gifted student. Providence students are highly involved in the community,
fine arts, and on the athletic fields. We encourage our students to be witnesses
for Christ in all they do, by pursuing excellence and demonstrating godly character.
Axis, our weekly time of worship, and Encounter, our annual class retreats, are
venues in which we seek to encourage and develop an authentic faith in our students.
In addition, our highly qualified, interdenominational Bible teachers bring a level
of instruction that uncovers the beauty of God’s Word, and challenges our students
to apply biblical principles to their lives. All of the 40 high school faculty members
are passionate followers of Jesus who are committed to preparing our 465 students
to “impact the world in which they live.”
I strongly believe in the mission and ministry of the school, and am proud to have
been a part of the Providence family for over a decade. Being involved in Christian
education is a wonderful opportunity to develop the hearts and minds of young people
for God’s glory.
Sincerely,
Sean Chapman
High School Principal
